You don’t want to build an empire. I hear you. It’s not your thing. It’s never been your goal. Fabulous. Amazing.
However…
Just because you love playing solo, working alone, running your business independently, it doesn’t mean you NEED do everything by yourself. And here’s why:
When you prioritize your complete independence, it can cost your business…well, business. I’d go as far as to say it can cripple your business. When you’re juggling a bazillion things, your clients can feel you’re not giving them the attention they deserve. They might also feel like things in your business are lacking…things that you haven’t even thought of, or might not be good at, or just don’t enjoy doing.
Can’t build a website? That doesn’t mean you can skip having one.
Can’t design a logo? That doesn’t mean you won’t need one.
Can’t write newsletters, blogs, social media posts? That doesn’t mean you can completely skip producing marketing content.
All businesses need help. All of them. Whether you hire someone hourly, on a contract basis, or for one-off jobs…you still need help. Otherwise, your business will be dead in the water. Also…when, oh when, are you relaxing, Freedom-Lover?
That’s exactly what today’s Insights Video is all about. Being a Visionary CEO doesn’t mean that you have to envision yourself running a massive empire with a team of dozens or hundreds. But you do need some help. Which means, at some point, you will be interviewing, hiring, and delegating work to others.
In this video we look at:
  • 0:41 – The real question all Visionary CEOs should be asking themselves (time to look INSIDE yourself, Freedom-Lover)
  • 1:11 – A horror story of a business I encountered recently (Why horror? Because this one-man-show was a disaster.)
  • 2:31 – What you might, unwittingly, be doing to your own beloved business.
  • 3:17 – How this all paves the road to a truly freedom-loving lifestyle (Yes, you read that right. FREEDOM.)
You may love working alone and being independent, but your primary question always has to be, “What does your business need?” Because if your business needs something, Freedom-Lover, so do you.
Warmly,
Erin
