One of the reasons I love this digital nomad lifestyle is because I’m always learning.
And what gets you learning even more than the learning you’re already doing? Being a mother.
As a digital nomad family, we are constantly having to come up with new ways to create ritual and tradition for our daughter – especially because we don’t believe in buying new things all the time, only to throw them all away when we up and move on to our next destination.
This was something I had to really think about this month during Imbolc because our Pumpkin is getting older, and she’s starting to really explore the world around her.
So, besides having to navigate that…there’s also been the ABSOLUTE FREEZING COLD of this New England winter. Hoooooo, boy!
It be chilly! (Ok, I’ve gotten used to the southwest in the past two years.)
In this week’s Insights Video I want to bring a bit of my world to you. How does a Pagan family honor the depths of winter?
What does a winter-averse person like me do in New England IN THE WINTER (AGAIN … thanks Covid)?
And how do we create ritual as a Digital Nomad family that doesn’t hold onto many material things?
In this video, we’ll look at:
- 0:12 – JUST how cold it is here (did I mention I don’t love Winter?)
- 0:58 – Simple creative projects that lead to real family conversations
- 2:26 – The joys of an ice festival (in witchy Salem)
- 3:20 – Picturesque views (snow is so, so beautiful)
If you want to take a peak at some snowy deliciousness, ice sculptures, candles, and creativity, then this video is for you.
Warmly,
Erin
