Remember that scene from Mary Poppins?
The one where she goes into the kids’ room and it’s a total disaster area, and she says they have to clean it up before they can go out and have a day of fun?
The kids think it’s going to be a chore. But Mary sings a song about turning it into a game. They go around the room snapping their fingers, and VOILA!
Organized. That tea set on the floor? Snap! In the cupboard.
The clothes hanging out of the drawers? Snap! Folded and packed neatly away. The soft toys lying all over the show? Snap! Obediently sat on the bed and chairs.
And once the room is organized, Jane and Michael can spend the day frolicking, jumping into street paintings and dancing with penguins.
My Freedom -lover friend … don’t you want to frolic too? Don’t you want to jump into paintings and dance with penguins?
Obviously, you do!
That’s why you chose this digital nomad lifestyle. You want to be free and breezy.
But…and here’s the thing…you’ll have more time enjoy the freedom once you’re organized.
From Mary Poppins got it right, organization is all about the resulting joy. Success, calm, motion, peace, focus, motion…they can only happen when your house is in order. Even (or especially) if your house is a RV or an Airbnb.
This week’s Insights video is all about getting organized.
It’s precisely because we’re always on the move, that our workspace organization skills have to be mission critical.
As travelers, we need to make sure we prepared for anything the world throws at us. When your organization is dialed in, you can be productive and effective anywhere. Even inside street paintings.
In this video, we’ll look at:
  • 0:45 – What actually makes up your WHOLE workspace – it’s more than just a chair and desk
  • 1:28 – The role of travel planning to ensure your productive workspace
  • 2:38 – What dialing into preparedness really looks like (and why it results in greater freedom)
If you’re a digital nomad who wants to Mary Poppins (or Marie Kondo) the shizz out of live, and experience so much more joy, then Freedom-lover, this video is for you.
Warmly,
Erin
