If your team is not knocking it out of the park…it’s your fault.
And I’m not talking about making mistakes. In fact, if it were up to me, my team would make MORE mistakes (as long as they are new ones every time).
Why?
Because that’s when we do our best learning. If your team are too scared to make mistakes because you might flip out and fire them, then you have a problem.
But besides the mistakes, if your team isn’t delivering; they’re delivering inconsistently; they’re missing deadlines; the work isn’t up to scratch…that is on you, Freedom-Lover.
Part of your job as the CEO is to make sure that they are kicking ass.
And there are specific things that you can do to help them kick ass, it starts when you take a long hard look at your criteria for success with every delegated task.
Because if you don’t know your success criteria, there’s no way your team will.
